The Sarah Isom Center for Women and Gender Studies is proud to announce the 17th Annual Isom Student Gender Conference (ISGC). This year’s conference theme is In/Visible, which allows participants to question notions of “visibility” in their disciplines of study, society, and personal experience.
The ISGC brings students together from around the country, including scholars from Champlain College and Emory University. The conference enables students to share their research and develop professional networks across disciplines. Highlights of the conference include panels on feminism in Greek life, blues artist Memphis Minnie, women in STEM fields, and queer spaces. Video game personality, actor, and emmy nominated writer, Ashly Burch, performance artist Juliana Huxtable, and civil rights attorney Roberta Kaplan are the Isom Student Gender Conference’s keynote speakers.
Please join us in welcoming our guest speakers to the UM campus and we encourage you to come support these dynamic scholars from across the country and from here at Ole Miss as they share their research.
All events are free and open to the public. For a full schedule of events, please visit www.isomstudentgenderconference.org.
