Miles Armaly, PH.D.

Associate Professor of Political science

Miles T. Armaly is an Associate Professor of Political Science. He holds a Ph.D. and B.A. from Michigan State University. Dr. Armaly's work focuses on the intersection of mass political behavior and institutions in the United States, particularly on attitudes toward the Supreme Court. In addition, he studies contemporary political attitudes, such as support for political violence and polarization. His recent publications and current projects examine mass attitudes regarding rights and liberties, how everyday politics impact views of the judiciary, and the role of identity on support for confirming Supreme Court justices. This scholarship appears in numerous academic journals. Professor Armaly's teaching interests align closely with his research foci, offering courses on constitutional law, judicial politics, and public opinion and political psychology.
