Karen Tongson and Wynter Mitchell were once co-hosts of the popular podcast, Pop Rocket. However, after their white cohosts left for other projects. the producers decided that two women of color wouldn’t be able to carry Pop Rocket and ended production. Loyal listeners were outraged, so Tongson and Mitchell created their own podcast, Waiting to X-Hale.
