Graduate Teaching Assistantship

The Sarah Isom Center for Women and Gender Studies seeks a graduate teaching assistant to teach introductory Gender Studies classes during the 2019-2020 academic year. Gender Studies Teaching Assistants will teach one section of GST 201, Introduction to Gender Studies, in the fall semester and one in the spring semester. Candidates will work with the Associate Director of the Sarah Isom Center on teaching and pedagogy. The teaching assistantship includes tuition remission and is $15,000 for the academic year.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Mississippi and have at least 30 hours of gradate coursework. They must have taken either GST 600, Gender Studies Methodolgy, or GST 601, Gender Studies Theory (or their equivalents at other institutions). Preference will be given to those enrolled in the Isom Center’s Graduate Minor in Gender Studies at the University of Mississippi.
