Angela Green, ph.d.

Sr. Lecturer of Writing and Rhetoric

Angela Green has taught at UM since 2012, teaching writing and helping faculty and graduate students teach writing in their respective disciplines. She earned her BA in English from The University of Texas at Austin and her PhD in English from the University of Georgia, specializing in Rhetoric and Composition and American literature. 

She plans to develop two courses, one a Study USA course, to situate Tubman among her fellow Abolitionists. 

Gender Studies -Related Research Interests: Harriet Tubman, with a particular interest in how an illiterate enslaved woman was able to persuade others to put their lives at risk on the Underground Railroad.
